Editorial Reviews

From Publishers Weekly
Here inspirational author Mandino (The Greatest Salesman in the World; The Greatest Miracle in the World again champions humankind's potential for spiritual uplift. The focus of his tale is Mark Christopher, a middle-aged man who abandons his successful business career for a life with his wife and two young sons in rural New Hampshire. PW noted that "Mandino's energetic 'can do' approach to life's problems has a ready audience."

Product Description
Choice! The key is Choice. You  have options. You need not spend your life  wallowing in failure, ignorance, grief, poverty, shame,  and self-pity. But, hold on! If this is true then  why have so many among us apparently elected to  live in that manner? The answer is obvious. Those who  live in unhappy failure have never exercised their  options for a better way of life because they have  never been aware that they had any  Choices !

5.0 out of 5 stars A book for those who dare to follow their dreams., April 12, 1997
By A Customer
This is a wonderful book about a man who gives up a very successful career in the insurance business in order to follow his dream of becoming a writer. By choosing this path he gives up the security of a steady income to enter the uncertain future of being a first time author. Although he and his family struggle to make ends meet, his gamble finally pays off and his first work becomes a national best seller. This book is also about the main character's desire to spend more quality time with his family, especially his children. Readers will identify with the feelings brought forth as they read this book because many of us know the pain of working so hard that we are not around to see our babies growing up. I recommend this book highly as well as all of Og Mandino's books. A good book to read after "The Choice" is "A Better Way to Live". This book's title is taken from the fictitional title of the book written in "The Choice". It tells the real life story of Og Mandino's own struggle and success in his own life.
