A warrior risen from the ashes to claim her heart...

Haunted by an age-old secret hidden deeper than a dream, Maggie St. John couldn't brush aside the finger of suspicion Beau Grayson pointed her way. He sensed she knew more about the hospital blaze than she'd told him, but the heat kindled by her gaze was a perilous distraction. Would the arson investigator determined to find the truth in her smoky past fulfill his destiny with the one woman who'd already ignited his desire?

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Book, September 4, 2000
By A Customer
I thought this was a great book. In it, Bruce finally responded to Jessica's flirtations. However, once they were a couple, Bruce used Jessica and cheated on her. At first, Jessica was unwilling to believe Bruce would do that to her, but she finally realized that he was. In the end they broke up. I really enjoyed this book. But I thought it was strange when Jessica let Bruce walk all over her. That was out of character for her.

5.0 out of 5 stars A VERY GOOD BOOK!, February 20, 2005
I loved this book! In this one Jessica falls for the handsome, rich Bruce Patman. What Bruce wants he gets and he wants Jessica. Jessica's selfish ways gets her in alot of trouble. Blowing off her friends, being Bruces slave, even cheating on a test! I couldint put this book down it was so good! Elizabeth dosent like Bruce. She thinks he is arrogant, demanding, and goes way to fast in realtionships. Will Elizabeth convince Jessica that shes totally wrong about Bruce? You will have to read to find out!

2.0 out of 5 stars Ha,Ha on YOU, Jessica Wakefield! (**1/2), August 24, 2003
When Jessica finally gets Wealthy, Handsome Bruce Patman, she becomes his Love Slave, running his errands and attending to his personal matters, something she's NEVER been for a boy. Twin Sister Elizabeth can't stand to see her in this state, and tries to talk her out of the relationship, but Jessica is Convinced Bruce loves her. When she finally sees what a jerk he really is when she catches him with another girl, she humiliates him, leaving him a mess. The thing is though, Jessica really got what she Deserved. Shes been doing the same things to guys all her life! Now SHE knows how it feels! Of Course that doesnt Stop Her from ordering Robin Wilson around in the Next Book...
