About the Author
Judi Hechtman currently teaches in a primary multi-age classroom at the University School at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Indiana, PA. She has been teaching for nearly 30 years and has taught grades K-8. Judi is a coauthor of the hands-on science series Explore and Discover as well as I'm Glad I'm Me: Self Esteem for Young Learners (Creative Teaching Press). She and her husband live in a log cabin house in Murrysville, PA with their three cats and German Shepherd.

Deborah Ellermeyer has been an educator since 1987. She has taught high school English as well as students in grades 1-8. Deborah currently teaches in a multi-age classroom at the Univeristy School with her writing colleagues, Judi Hechtman and Sandra Ford Grove. She resides in Indiana, PA with her daughter, son, and cat.

Sandy Ford Grove has been an elementary teacher since 1990 and has taught grades 1-4. She currently teaches in the same multi-age classroom as her coauthors Judi and Deborah. With Judi, Sandra coauthored the Explore and Discover Science series and I'm Glad I'm me: Self Esteem for Young Learners (Creative Teaching Press). She and her husband reside in Johnstown, PA, with their two pet cockatiels.
