About the Author
Al D. Squitieri, a licensed Master Plumber for forty-two years, spent the last twenty years as a freelance writer of articles, newspaper columns and commentaries. Between rejection slips, Al managed to get published in several digest-sized magazines. His humorous column, "Funny Side Up," has brought laughter to several generations, through publication in a dozen east coast weekly newspapers. His second book, Broken Glass and All, will inspire and encourage as you follow his battle against an incurable disease and the U.S. health care system. The author and his wife Anne share an "empty nest" in Central New York. Although the original ten chicks have left the nest, they do return, often with thirteen little ones of their own.
