Lilah Kan has worked in numerous restaurants in New York and was consultant/chef for the first kosher Chinese restaurant in Israel. Cooking and giving Chinese cooking lessons enabled her to pursue a life in New York theatre as an actor. In addition, she wrote the book and lyrics for a musical, "Shanghai Lil's" which had a successful run Off-Broadway. She holds the rank of shodan in Japanese (zen) archery and is a water aerobics instructor at a health club.
