Editorial Reviews
Product Description
I hate the "Management" in Knowledge Management. I say that for several reasons that I hope to make clear throughout this book. The entire premise of this work is based on the assumption that knowledge is a "human thing" and not an "IT thing." Let me debunk the "Management" in Knowledge Management. Knowledge is not something that can be managed like an assembly line in some factory. You can no sooner "Manage" knowledge than you can "manage" your children as they grow up. Knowledge is a uniquely human experience that I'll talk about in great detail. I hate the word "Management" in the buzz phrase "Knowledge Management." The buzzwords were a next-level phrase that came from "Information Management," and somebody probably got paid a lot of money when they coined the phrase. I hope you will stick around for what, I think, is an interesting conversation about Knowledge Management in the "New Economy." Knowledge Management in the "Old Economy" was about Information Technology solutions. In the New Economy, Knowledge Management is about "People Solutions."
