About the Author
Bob Sobie is an avid recreational bicycle rider. He especially enjoys riding the many spectacular rails-to-trails that are available in the United States. Among his favorite trails are the Elroy Sparta Trail, "400,¿ Omaha, La Crosse River, Great River, Military Ridge, Sugar River, and the Glacial Drumlin Trail in Wisconsin; the Illinois Prairie Path, Great Western, Fox River, Chicago Lakefront, and Illinois-Michigan Canal in Illinois; and the Katy Trail in Missouri.
Bob resides with his family in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. He is a professor at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, where he teaches Automotive Service Technology, Speech Communications, and Field Studies. In his role as an instructor in the Field Studies Department, Bob has taken groups of students many times to the Elroy Sparta Trail to help students enjoy his passion for this delightful trail. Bob holds a Masters of Arts in Communication, a Masters of Science in Education, a Bachelors of Science in Education, and an Associate of Applied Science Degree.
