Editorial Reviews

Product Description
For over a century, the Holy Bible’s account of creation has come under considerable scrutiny and derision by the scientific community — casting doubts on Biblical accuracy. But is such derision warranted? Armed with the accepted principles of science, a keen understanding of Biblical literature, and no preconceptions, the author decided to investigate the subject for himself. The result is a comprehensive and objective analysis of the first story of the Bible (Genesis 1:1 - 2:4). The Theory of Creation answers the enduring questions of science and validates the Biblical creation story. It will be source of inspiration for Bible readers everywhere, and is the Bible-versus-science resolution that every believer needs to read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice Study of Genesis, November 17, 2003
By A Customer
Jim shows that Genesis & science can be reconciled. He addresses many issues and gives much food for thought. The last reviewer obviously didn't read the book, because the book is against evolution. That reviewer was an obvious young-earth seminar writer. Books like Jim's or Hugh Ross' "The Genesis Question" and Darrick Dean's "Is The Truth Out There?" answer evolution and show science and the Bible agree. Books by Ken Ham, et. al., do not. They only embarass Christians by adhering to the pseudoscientific young-earth belief. Sketpics like to say, "Why should we trust their evolution writings when they adhere to ridicoulous young-earthism? If young-earthism is true, then the Bible is false!" It's time young-earthism went the way of the dinosaurs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Study of the Genesis Week, March 28, 2002
By A Customer
Jim Schicatano does a detailed study of the Genesis creation week to determine if it is at odds with science. It is not. He breaks down each day and addresses common issues, objections and ideas raised by each. Including how to translate the days of Genesis. His accurate study leads him to conclude that the days should be literally translated as ages. A wealth of information and a good companion to such books as "The Genesis Question" by Ross and "Encountering the Book of Genesis" by Arnold.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money, August 21, 2002
By "alfake" (Palmyra, PA USA) - See all my reviews
If you want to read about how to squeeze the worldly view of creation into the Bible, this is the book for you. Darwin would be very proud of this book. Jim, like most people, completely ignores the scientific facts that disprove evolution.

If you want to read about the Biblical account of creation, and the science that the news media ignores, get "The Lie: Evolution" by Ken Ham.
