Product Description

Ten years ago Nora Falconi, Marcus Cranshaw, and Rudolf Tasker barely got off Planet 8055 alive after the alien Ast took it over. What can draw the long disbanded cultural survey team back together, and back to the most brutally misogynistic world any of them ever visited, after all this time?

A dying little girl, that’s what. Nora’s daughter, conceived on 8055, who for reasons not yet known can’t survive into adulthood anywhere else. The secret behind that is just one of the perils awaiting the reunited comrades—but the worst danger of all is the one they’re bringing with them.

Without realizing it, of course.

About the Author

Nina M. Osier was born with a sun tan in the village of Camden, Maine. Her first home was on Friendship Long Island, off the Maine coast. She started "writing" at the age of two, when her parents decided to write down her stories and read them back to her. She is the author of science fiction novels ROUGH RIDER, a 2000 Frankfort eBook Award nominee from Adventure Books; REGS, MATUSHKA, SILENT SERVICE, EXILE’S END, STARSHIP CASTAWAYS, and INTERPHASE, from both eBooksOnThe.Net and iUniverse; and CONDUCT UNBECOMING and UNFAMILIAR TERRITORY, from eBooksOnThe.Net and Xlibris. Xlibris is her publisher for a book of pet stories, TABITHA JUNE IS A SHOULDER CAT, and (under the pseudonym Marianne Barron) a mainstream novel, SECOND CHANCES. Also available from both eBooksOnThe.Net and iUniverse: THE MAD FISHERMAN’S DAUGHTER: TWO NOVELLAS (speculative fiction); GRANITE ISLAND, romantic regional fiction; and from eBooksOnThe.Net, an electronic edition of SECOND CHANCES.

Nina directs the Division of Records Management Services at the Maine State Archives, where she gets some of her best ideas! She lives in a turn-of-the-century Victorian house in Augusta, Maine, where she writes, gardens, and wishes humans didn’t have to waste time sleeping.
