Product Description
Could the cause of your struggles be hidden in your past lives?

Under every major behavior pattern is a set of images whose origin might be in childhood, from our time in the womb, or from previous lives. Living Your Past Lives: The Psychology of Past-Life Regression demonstrates how a psychologist has integrated the influences from multiple levels of his clients conscious and unconscious life.

This book shows how your life patterns are linked to your past-life experiences (karma), how those buried memories influence you, and what can be done about them.

You will learn how your karma is alive today in your: Behavior patterns Emotional reactions Recurring dreams Relationship patterns

Explore the creative aspect of karma to find out what it is trying to tell you. Also, find out how your experience in the womb prepared you to carry out both your karma and your parents secret needs as well.

Living Your Past Lives is a rich feast with case studies, discussion of the difference between past-life therapy and past-life regression, and implications for living better today. Included is a technical section for therapists and interested laypersons.

Discover how your karma can help you live more fully in the present.

From the Inside Flap
Are patterns from your past lives causing you problems today?

They could very well be, if you've ever found yourself asking these questions:
-- "Why do the same things keep happening in my life?"
-- "Why do I do the same things over and over?"
-- "What is in my emotions to make me react this way?
-- "Why am I blocked from taking the actions I need to achieve the goals I want."

The answers you may uncover can yield great promise -- and offer a fabulous challenge -- for they come from events in your past rives. Your present life is full of the residue of these past lives, and you remember much more than you think.

Citing many fascinating, fully verified case histories of the life-before-life phenomenons, living Your Past Lives will help you bring these memories to the surface -- and fill the life you lead today with new insight, fulfillment, and happiness. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

5.0 out of 5 stars Past Lives as Prologue?, May 15, 1996
By A Customer
Based on anecdotal evidence, intuition, traditions, and faith, reincarnation is a religious belief held by millions of people. Therapist Carl Schlotterbeck explores his interest in reincarnation and so-called past-life regression. While no direct scientific evidence exists for reincarnation (the immortality of the soul re-emerging in countless consciousnesses throughout the ages), author Schlotterbeck presents a fascinating study of patients he has assisted who claim to have lived past lives. Abstracts of therapy transcripts are included making this book a very intriguing work. Whether you're a theosophist or a skeptic you'll come away with the impression that powerful archetypes are at work in the human subconscious--and of course there are reasons other than "past lives" to explain what's going on here. However, to dismiss the concept reincarnation without exploring its "hold" on the human mind for thousands of years is to ignore a powerful, ancient philosophy of life, death and immortality. Read it. You'll come away with more questions than answers about life, the soul and eternity.-- Louis Varricchi

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic Book in Field of Past Life Regression Therapy, May 5, 2009
By Elmdea Bean (Winchester, VA USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I was delighted to discover that Karl Schlotterbeck has published a 2nd edition of Living Your Past Lives. I have been recommending it to people for years as the most comprehensive and readable book about past life regression in print. Regrettably, it was only available as a rare used book, because those who owned it usually held on to it. Fellow therapists had been urging him for years to re-publish it.

Without apology for the subject (reincarnation and our ability to remember and heal trauma from past lives) Karl has written a solid, informative, and useful book for therapists and the general public. He writes about a wide variety deep behavioral and mental patterns and then offers case studies directly related to specific patterns. Through these case studies, we learn how past lives impact the client's current life. We also get to witness the wonderful healing and relief that are the result of effective past life regression therapy. Living Your Past Lives is an educational and inspiring read!
