Editorial Reviews

Product Description

Billy Ray unwrapped an Arturo Fuente cigar and clamped it between his teeth. He closed his eyes momentarily and enjoyed the strong tobacco, let it calm him. A small voice inside, barely audible, told him to hit the door and not look back, anyone with half a brain could see Cole Parker and Darian Tonelli had been up to some big-time games, dangerous games.

Baked Alaskan is a page turner! Billy Ray Dent is a terrific lead character, everything a man should be. And he’s got his hands full with Ms. Darian Tonelli. This girl is a firecracker…in every sense of the word. But will they have enough between them to stay one step ahead of crooked corporate executives and the Russian mafia who are all on a blood hunt for a stolen computer chip?

From the moment Cole Parker gets shot off the front of Billy Ray Dent’s bass boat it’s non-stop action that travels from East Texas, down a raging Alaskan river, and onto the streets of Manhattan. Baked Alaskan is a trip of a lifetime. Don’t miss it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Adventure at Every Turn, August 3, 2006
If you like adventure and the outdoors, you'll find this book hard to put down. Billy Ray Dent, a partially reformed country boy, and Darian Tonelli, a self sufficient woman willing to take risks, lead you on an adventurous and humurous run for their lives. The many plots and sub-plots were a challenge to follow in the beginning but Scarborough does a masterful job of continually weaving them together. In the end everything comes together leaving the reader wondering why he had not figured it out from the beginning. Best of all, Scarborough paints each scene and event with his unique humor and leaves you laughing and feeling as if you were there yourself. This is an easy and great read that will have you turning the pages to see what happens next.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Read, January 3, 2007
It's fast action, believable settings and the chill of the Alaskan summer goes directly to your bones. It kept me guessing as the plot twisted and turned in directions I did not expect. Very good dialogue, just stilted enough to understand the character. Enjoy the fast read. PV

5.0 out of 5 stars Baked Texan, August 8, 2006
Scarborough has a great writing style with wonderful descriptions and subtle humor. Helps you get in the mind of each character. The action is continuous with twists where you least expect them. This book was a nice escape from the usual. Waiting for it to come out on the big screen!
