Product Description
Three years have passed since Chad Gamin escaped the massacre in Canada. Dealing with the aftermath, Chad thought he was safe in Longview, not realizing that the danger was so near.

Over the last year, hikers and campers have gone missing around the Mount Saint Helens area. Andrew Bridgeston, a Sasquatch enthusiast, is positive that one of these legendary creatures is involved with the disappearances. With his team of Sasquatch hunters, he is determined to capture one and volunteers the help of a reluctant Chad.

They discover a hidden cave system and what they find in the depths is an unimaginable horror. Attacked and hunted, their only chance to survive is to find a way back to the surface. Even then, it may already be too late.

Also included is the short story Meredith’s Journey. Taking place a few days after the events in The Unleashing, Meredith was last seen being pulled through a window by a Bigfoot. Her body was never found. Did she die or did something worse happen?

1.0 out of 5 stars Not very good., July 12, 2008
I really wanted to like this book, but the actions of the characters were even less believable than it's depiction of the Sasquatch community was. It reminded me a bit of a book that I read quite some time ago, "The Mountains at the Bottom of the World", minus the suspense.
I was rather surprised that the other reviews were so flattering for such an amateurish book. Upon checking their other reviews, I found that eleven of the twelve books reviewed by the other reviewers were by Clint Romag. That fact, along with the fact all of Clint's books got five star reviews, makes me suspect that the reviewers in question may not have been 100% objective.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Flair for Fear, February 1, 2008
I normally go by the adage, the sequel to a book is never as good as the original. However, this belief was ripped to shreds when I read "The Ape Cave Horror: The Sasquatch Encounters Two." With its fast pace storyline and multi-layered characters, Clint Romag once again creates a dark, enigmatic world full of terrifying danger and this book, unbelievably, is even better than its predecessor!

The story picks up three years later with Chad Gamin still struggling to adapt after the Sasquatch massacre killed his father and friends. Though Chad is trying to live a normal life, he is still haunted by these vicious creatures, the devastation they leave behind and the people who are enamored with their existence.

I love the themes of reconciling your past and taking charge of your future. Clint Romag expertly weaves love, loss and redemption on one thrilling hike through a monster-infested forest.

I can't wait for the next booking this series!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Sara Smith, July 16, 2008
By Sara Smith (Spokane, WA) - See all my reviews
Clint Romag's Ape Cave Horror was adventerous and imaginative. I loved the scenery and use of actual locations within the Mt. St. Helens area. I knew the book was a lot of fun to read, but after seeing "Fred's" review of this book I was a little confused and a little disappointed. Was the point of this book to document Sasquatch research and to depict the animal in a realistic light? No.

I believe the author captured the art of storytelling. Whether or not you believe in the existence of bigfoot, everyone must have some idea what the animal would look like, sound like; how it survives, what it feeds on, what happens to its body when it dies. Clint shared not a system of his beliefs, but a story to put you on the edge of your seat. The sasquatch were as ferocious as ever, but more complex and interesting this time around. I appreciated the pace of the book, the original ideas of how the animal survived for so long, and the addition of Meredith's Journal, where we got to see a little more into bigfoot's world through Clint's eyes.

I don't think someone who obviously put a lot of passion into his characters and story deserves to be shot down by the likes of "Fred" and his so called investigation. The Ape Cave Horror was a great read that left you wanting to let Clint Romag paint more pictures of horror that Sasquatch would bring if you dare go into the woods of the Western United States. Thanks for the scare Clint and put a cork in it Fred!
