He is the cofounder of the popular Boing Boing weblog, was an editor at Wired from 1993-1998, and was the founding editor-in-chief of Wired Online. His articles about technology and culture have appeared in Wired, The New York Times Magazine, Popular Science, MIT Technology Review, Playboy, Business 2.0, and The Industry Standard. He wrote and illustrated The Mad Professor for Chronicle Books, a book of science experiments for kids published in the Fall of 2002.
