Product Description

Is history repeating itself?

Christina Reese has heard the story many times--Wonder was a tiny, sickly foal no one thought was worth saving. No one but Christina's mother, Ashleigh. With Ashleigh's love and hard work, Wonder went on the win the Kentucky Derby.

Now, when Wonder's last foal is born under tragic circumstances, there's little hope for her baby colt. Only Christina can see that the colt is special, just like his mother was. But will she get a chance to prove it?

Read the Wonder's Legacy trilogy from Thoroughbred and experience the powerful bond between a determined girl and a very special colt. If you love horses, then you'll love these books!

5.0 out of 5 stars Thoroughbred #36: Without Wonder, April 18, 2005
This was the first book I read in the "Thoroughbred" series. I found it to be sad. When Wonder died it was undoubtedly one of the most emotional parts of the story. But, at the same time I was happy because Wonder had something to die for...Star. I also cried when Ashleigh made Christina give up Star and sell the colt to Brad. But, the plot recovers in the sequel, and you will be yelling with excitement when Star battles his way towards THE TRIPLE CROWN.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing, November 10, 1999
By Gratis (South Africa) - See all my reviews
I really liked this book. It was incredible! It had believability and was moving and nicey written. This had got to be one of the best TB books ever! It's in a more modern style than 1-23 and Ashliegh's reaction was brilliantly done. I can't wait for 37!

3.0 out of 5 stars O.K book, February 24, 2000
By A Customer
I really enjoyed this book, but it gets very confusing when the author makes charactors disappear, like Dylan& Katie, you'd think that they could at least be mentioned! And it's a bit dissapointing how Christina sort of loses intrest in Sterling, the "Horse Of Her Dreams" and now she's thinking of becoming a jockey.she also really wants Star which is understanderble since Wonder died, But she doesn't seem to love Sterling as much anymore. Christina was sooooooo upset when in book #24 her parents gave her Legacy when she wanted an event horse.I feel sorry for Sterling. NB: Christina is, quote: "way too tall to be a jockey"! Don't get me wrong, I love the Thoroughbred books, though would like to see Joanna come back and write the rest of the series, She'd keep tabs on what's going on.
