5.0 out of 5 stars A wonder Full Collection of Poetry, March 31, 2000
By "angrod" (Petaluma, California) - See all my reviews
This small pocket sized book has all the poems and ridlles from the Hobbit! It is illstrated with Tolkien's artwork from the Hobbit (and some of his artwork not from the Hobbit). It is small enough to take it with you everywhere you go. If only there was one for the Lord of the Rings.

5.0 out of 5 stars A charming addition to your Tolkien collection., June 14, 2004
By M. E. Volmar (Santo Domingo, Distrito Nacional Dominican Republic) - See all my reviews
This pint-sized, delightful book, richly and colorfully illustrated with thirty of Tolkien's own drawings, contains all twelve poems from the Hobbit as they were originally published. As a bonus, it also includes the eight riddles Gollum poses to Bilbo, complete with their answers.
This wonderful volume is sure to be enjoyable to readers of all ages, and a wonderful keepsake that Tolkien followers can afford to carry around with them wherever they go. You shouldn't miss it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful!, March 20, 2000
By Deumjee Choi (Seoul, South Korea) - See all my reviews
A nice little book the size of your palm that has all the poems from The Hobbit - as the title says. Interesting illustrations, and convenient because you don't have to leaf though The Hobbit to find the poems. I guess Tolkien never made any tunes to go with his poems, but if there were any he approved of I'd like to hear the poetry and music together. I also wish there was a book called Poems From The Lord of the Rings.
