Nevid provides a broad view of psychology that includes history, research methods, major theories, and research findings and their contemporary applications in everyday life. Jeffrey Nevid developed a comprehensive learning system for this text derived from his research on memory, learning, and textbook pedagogy. About the Author
Jeffrey S. Nevid is Professor of Psychology at St. John's University in New York. He earned his doctorate from the State University of New York at Albany and was a Postdoctoral Fellow in Evaluation Research at Northwestern University. He has published numerous research articles in such areas as health psychology, clinical, and community psychology, social psychology, gender and human sexuality, adolescent development, and teaching of psychology. His research has appeared in such journals as Health Psychology, Journal of Youth and Adolescence, and Teaching of Psychology. He is the author of several leading college texts and is actively involved in developing new pedagogical approaches.
