Editorial Reviews

Product Description
Part of the new Web Warrior Series, a cutting edge Web development series dedicated to providing coverage of the latest in emerging Internet and Web technologies. This book is designed for the novice and assumes no knowledge of programming, JavaScript, or HTML. JavaScript offers an excellent introduction to the fundamental concepts of programming in a straightforward manner. In addition, since JavaScript is object-based (but not object-oriented), it again provides an excellent introduction to the more complex concepts inherent in a true object-oriented language.

1.0 out of 5 stars This book is terrible, November 8, 2000
By A Customer
The author is incapable of using examples. The writing is done in self referential statements that assume that you already know how to write in JavaScript. It is impossible to learn Java with this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Javascript : Introductory, October 18, 2000
By A Customer
This text is designed for the novice programmer, thus reinforcing the student's fundamental concepts of programming. Using JavaScript® as the scripting language for Web page interactivity provides the student with an easy transition from their introductory programming language, Java™, this would be a recommended text.

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible ! ! ! !, February 20, 2001
This is the MOST boring book I have ever tried to learn from! Every time I pick it up I start falling asleep. If anyone really wants to learn I would recomend the "Sam's 21 days" series. I have bought books on Perl and C++ from Sam's and have enjoyed both.
