This book is a very concise, easy to read, well written reference to have around the ICU, step-down, etc. It is perfect for someone new to the speciality or if you are looking for another way "to skin the cat". Covers everything that could come up post-operatively. I highly reccommend it.

I began my preceptorship as a nurse in a small open heart ICU with this book as my reference. It was suggested to me by one of our surgeons who told me that if I could read the whole book I could do his job. I have studied the book extensively and it has become my most valuable tool in learning my new job. I highly recomend it for anyone working in cardiovascular surgical units!
