Alcohol has a bad rep. It is commonly "known" that alcoholic consumption on a regular basis makes the body age faster, causes brain damage, and can lead to alcoholism... but much of these "facts" have been skewed in our alcohol-wary society. Bamforth attacks these claims with real data, examining previous studies and looking at new ones, to get the the bottom of the health effects of alcohol. You will be surprised to find that alcohol in moderation is actually good for you, helping to provide physical AND mental soundness later in life. This book will change the way you look at alcohol and beer consumption, giving a reason to cut down on alcohol intake or a reason to enjoy a brew guilt free.
