I started in on this book when I was nearly through teaching myself the ukulele via Jumpin' Jim's beginner book, and I found it to be a good second step. There's a good variety of classic movie tunes, although some of them ("Tara's Theme"?) are not the type you'd want to sing along with. But overall it's a good selection of fun songs in various styles, that range from simple (I think there's 3 chords in "Singin' in the Rain") to relatively complex (save "Makin' Whoopee!" for last!) I am particularly fond of "Over the Rainbow" and "My Favorite Things." There are also several relatively obscure tunes that I taught myself, like "Honolulu", that are worth a strum-though. There's a handy chord chart in the front, too.
