5.0 out of 5 stars A Mirror, February 3, 2000
By Carmen Gentry (Washington, D.C.) - See all my reviews
"In the depth of your hopes and desires lies your silent knowledge of the beyond." Reading Gibran, I was not really holding a book in my hands - I was holding a mirror which reflected the darkest and the brightest depths of my soul...thank you Kahlil for reminding me over and over again of who I really am! And - thank you Carlos from Lisbon!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book that looks at life and explains it well, September 17, 1999
By A Customer
I discovered this book just prior to getting married 25 years ago. My wife gave it to me as a wedding present because it meant so much to me. The poem of the teacher is worth the price of the whole book. Any one in leadership role at all should read this poem on a teacher and then read the one on your particualar profession. This is a must read for anyone who wishes to teach on any level, in any situtation: public or private education, Sunday School, preaching, industry, College, or whatever.
