About the Author

James L. Mays is Professor Emeritus of Hebrew and Old Testament Interpretation at Union Theological Seminary & Presbyterian School of Christian Education in Richmond, Virginia. He is the general editor of the best-selling Interpretation commentary series and has authored many books, including Psalms (Interpretation: A Bible Commentary for Preaching and Teaching) and The Lord Reigns: A Theological Handbook to the Psalms.

Patrick D. Miller is Charles T. Haley Professor of Old Testament Theology emeritus at Princeton Theological Seminary.

Gene M. Tucker is professor of Old Testament emeritus at Candler School of Theology, Emory University.

Mays, Miller, and Tucker are all past presidents of the Society of Biblical Literature.
