5.0 out of 5 stars A MUST READ for anyone struggling with caregiving issues!!, December 18, 1997
I have read a number of books on the subject of caregiving of aging parents, but this was the best! Greenberg really pinpoints the internal struggles the caregiver deals with, and offers a lot of compassion and reassurance as well as realistic ways of coping. I can't recommend this book highly enough. It took several weeks to get, but it was worth the wait!! Thank you, Vivian Greenberg!

5.0 out of 5 stars Like having a wonderful guidance counselor at my fingertips, April 11, 1999
By A Customer
After my mother's stroke, I was blessed with finding this book at the local library. This book was an absolute Godsend!!! I had always depended on my mother for support and advice. (She was surely one of God's Beloved). This book was like having a wonderful counselor at my side guiding me and encouraging me. I cried a river of tears in the ensueing months after Mother's stroke. I have no doubt that God inspired the writing of this book, and I ask God to Bless the Life of the author wholeheartedly!! I miss my mother very much, but I am beholding to the author always!!!! 5.0 out of 5 stars Guilt Releif!, August 20, 2001
By A Customer
A marvelous book, wonderfully written, so helpful to know that all the conflicting emotions we feel as caregivers are ok. There will always be more we can do, but knowing to set limits and boundaries to attain balance is an important part of care-giving. Those heart-strings get tugged so easily, the tears flow so often, when coping with elderly parents who know the buttons to push. This book will show you how to manage all those feelings, sort them through, and come out sane. Another great book that will help you cope is called ELDER RAGE.
