Grade 3-6 How was the planet Krypton destroyed in the first Superman movie? Who was really driving the Muppets' car? Answers can be found in Cosner's book, along with information about props, techniques and atmospheric equipment used to produce the incredible special effects in movies and television. The final chapter even includes ideas for home experimenting. Unfortunately, the photographs are all black and white and are taken from older movies or from television commercials. The result is hardly competition for Star Wars or E.T. " behind the scenes" books. The writing flows naturally, making it a very readable, although bland, choice for young people.
