Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com Review
How badly do you want to be a lawyer? The competition is fierce, and you'll need high test scores to get into the right school. That's where Kaplan LSAT 1999-2000 comes in--it's a multimedia package that shows you the ins and outs of the test, allowing you to relax and exceed your expectations. The book contains introductory material covering the nature and function of the LSAT, individual sections for each of the content areas, general test-taking strategies, and the Kaplan AdvantageTM Stress Management System, as well as a full-length practice test with extensive explanations of the right and wrong answers. The CD-ROM provides personalized lessons, more tests, and law school admissions information. Together, they provide a sweeping overview that is guaranteed to raise your score--quite an attractive offer.

The Kaplan staffers know that a test-taker can be his or her own worst enemy, so they make the whole affair seem manageable, bearable, and even fun. The Stress Management System is invaluable, offering tips on how and when to study, what to eat, and even how to breathe that will give you the confidence-inspiring calm of a Zen master. The explanations following each question are complete and informative, leading to greater comprehension of the test as a whole. The book closes with a section on getting into law school, explaining exactly where, when, and how to apply to maximize your chances of joining the bar. --Rob Lightner

but Kaplan is by far the best LSAT prep book that is out there right now. The key is in the explanations-- they are comprehensive, understandable, and yet simple. The CD has 8 extra Analytical Reasoning sections for practice, which I found very helpful, along with a full-length practice test (and some other stuff). And the best thing-- they promise that if your score doesn't improve after purchasing this book they'll refund your money... so you won't get into law school, but at least you'll get your thirty bucks back.
