From School Library Journal
Grade 3 Up This 11th edition of the perennial favorite contains a listing of 250 things that can be ordered free of charge or for up to one dollar. Utilizing the same format as in past editions, this revision is filled with all sorts of safe, fun, and informative things that kids like. Items range from tiny tools to bowling tips to addresses of all state and county tourist offices. There's even a special $2 offer for an electronic pocket piano. Supposedly all suppliers have promised to honor all properly made requests through 1988. The first section of the book gives directions for sending post cards, money, and self-addressed stamped envelopes. The great advantage of this book is that kids can use it independently and reap rewards for their efforts. Pamela K. Bomboy, Chesterfield County Pub . Schools, Va.
