Product Description

WHEN THE CURTAIN GOES DOWN,
THE REAL DRAMA BEGINS

The American Grand Opera has come to River Heights to perform Tosca, Aida, and The Marriage of Figaro, and Nancy's friend Bess is going to be a chorus extra. It's all so exciting for the girls; the costumes, the music, the glamor! Little do they expect, though, the drama that will take place backstage. When a falling sandbag from the scenery catwalk nearly misses the two female stars of the opera during a dress rehearsal, Nancy begins to suspect foul play.

As it turns out, the falling sandbag isn't the first incident of the tour. In the dressing room, Nancy finds out that rival singers Rosacrucia Alba, the hot new soprano, and Marta Willentz, an older member of the company, have been involved in a few scary situations. As rehearsals continue and the threat to these singers increases, Nancy scrambles to determine why someone is trying to ensure that only one singer will be the star of these shows.

5.0 out of 5 stars A night at the opera, March 21, 2003
By Carolyn Keene (Where the wind comes sweeping down the plains...) - See all my reviews
Nancy Drew's best friend Bess Marvin is an extra for the American Grand Opera company that has come to River Heights. Strange things begin happening when the sets and costumes are sabotaged. Enough of the summary, I'm sure you read the editorial above. Let me just say that this is the best paperback I've read in a really long time, and I have been reading Nancy Drew books since I was eight (don't bother to do the math! :) To the ghostwriter: Keep it up! You're the best Simon & Schuster has had in a long time! The plot was fantastic. There was suspense and romance, and a really interesting twist at the end. Actually, this book was more like one of the Files than a Mystery story. Buy this book! You won't be sorry!

I can`t decide! this book is good and this book is bad! I think this book is moor like a file then a Nancy Drew Mystery. I think that if we wanted a file we could get a file. But, I have to say that this book really is quite good! ( sigh) I guess this book is a reall mix! I still recamend this! I hope you enjoy!
