After thirty years of marriage which ended in divorce, Jean felt that her life was over. She was too old to start over and too old to learn a new way. Then she met Arne. Arne was full of life, a bright spark in an otherwise mundane existence. Jean and Arne found romance and love, dancing through their days, while Jean learned to accept joy and began to trust again. Jean, a very spiritual woman, taught Arne about the wonderful mysteries that continue to unfold in our world. Arne became ill with cancer and his illness led them on a trek through a myriad of holistic treatments and medicines. They met kind, caring people with incredible abilities who treated Arne and supported them through many difficult times.
Jean shares her story with us through a beautifully written personal narrative; her sincerity warming the hearts of her readers. She is writing to help others, for not only does she write about Arne's treatments, describing them in detail, she includes a list of suggested readings at the back of her book. This comprehensive list allows the reader a good beginning into research of the many holistic treatments available. She also includes a list of organizations that can be contacted for more help. Jean Sidney Blomquist's book, Dance Interrupted, is highly recommended for those with a spiritual bent, and for those faced with debilitating cancer, who want to be aware of holistic treatments that are offered to those who want choices.

Jean Sidney Blomquist has blessed us with her astonishingly beautiful Danced Interrupted. Seldom do we find a book so rich in content, so revealing of the Human Spirit.
Jean writes exquisitely of the continuity of love, the adventure of Living Life fully with its Light and its Shadow, its challenges and changes and its Traumatic Surprises, both large and small.
With Wisdom, Understanding and Hope, Jean tells it like it is --- openly and frankly --- sparing neither the reader nor herself.
She speaks straight from her loving heart to yours --- of Spirit, Inner Guidance, personal growth, gain and loss --- And, of the Eternal Mystery and Magic all of us must face as we journey through this Earth Adventure.

Readers will find Dance Interupted a beautiful mid-life romance, that is tender and touching!
A widow recalls her passionate love affair with her husband, that tragically is cut too short by the onset of a deadly disease. Touching and revealing, this true story promises insight about real life, real love, and real choices they face together.
A must-read for couples and singles alike.
