5.0 out of 5 stars Ossobuco, February 3, 2004
By sam george (Germantown, Tennessee) - See all my reviews
On a recent trip to San Diego, I had the pleasure of eating dinner at a fine Italian Restaurant and had Ossobuco for the first time. I was so impressed with it that when I got home to Germantown, Tennessee, I had to try to recreate it from my Cook Book. (Italian Cooking From Better Homes and Gardens)
The receipe in this book is wonderful. I was amazed how similar it turned out. As a side dish I tried the recommended Risotto made Mianeese Style, also found in the book. The risotto was such a fine compliment to the Ossobuco! A glass or two of a red wine of choice and all was well in the world!!! Please try and enjoy!

4.0 out of 5 stars Better Homes and Garden Italian Cook Book, April 21, 2001
By A Customer
I borrowed this book from a friend after making classic spagetti sauce and clam sauce for 80 people at the Elks Lodge dinner. I had so many complements a raves, especially the clam sauce. I have used many of the recipes and with good sucess. The recipes are basic but delicious, easy to use and increase or break down easily without risk of flavors changing. The recipes are definatly old Italian and not new gormet. Im looking for another copy now as it is out of print.
