5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best cookie books around!, May 31, 2000

It seems natural that the originators of the Toll House cookie, including Ruth Wakefield, would create a great cookie book. The recipes are the kind that you can make for friends, family or just because. My favorite recipes are too numerous to name, but I have found this book to be inspirational and one of the easiest to follow. What's great is it has pictures of each cookie so that you can make sure you made it just right. This will be one of your favorites on your shelf definitely!

Cookies are cooked by my daughter. She loves this book. I bought it both in hardback and paperback. The paperback order was by mistake, but what is inside is the same.

One thing you may consider to add to your Cookie Making library in addition to this book is the following DVD. Good Eats with Alton Brown : SUPER SWEETS (Three Chips For Sister Marsha / The Art of Darkness / Churn Baby Churn) All you have to do is click on the link for pricing and availablity.

I recommend the DVD for two reasons: 1. Alton Brown is one of the best food network chefs at explaining the science behind cooking in a fun way. 2. The material on this DVD explains what each of your cookie ingredients contributes to the recipe. Believe me you will not regret buying both the DVD and the Recipe book.

WARNING WARNING WARNING.... You will need to get an exercise program in place quick after turning these cookies loose on the family.
