About the Author

Camille Maurine and Lorin Roche are married and the authors of Meditation Secrets for Women. Camille is a movement artist, educator, and healer. She is the creator of Moving Theater, a transformative process. Lorin is the author of Breath Taking, Whole Body Meditations, and Meditation Made Easy. He has been teaching meditation since 1968 and holds a doctorate degree from the University of California. The couple gives private instruction and meditation workshops. They live in Marina del Rey, Calif. Award-winning composer Charles Bernstein composed and performed all the background music on the meditative CD. He is the author of Film Music and Everything Else and has written music for more than 100 films. He lives in Los Angeles, California.

I am a psychotherapist who understands the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual benefits of meditation. I recommend it to my clients frequently. Yet, personally, I have tried on many occasions to get into a regular practice of meditation, but find my mind so restless when I sit down, that I want to jump up again instantly. This book and CD makes the process so much easier and is the most refreshing and lively take on meditation I have ever encountered. I just pop in the CD, forward it to the theme I want to meditate on (The Heart Warming Meditation is my personal favorite) and for 5-7 minutes I relax. The good news is that because the meditations are short, you can do them anytime of the day or night. Camille and Lorin make meditation seem like an extension of living, rather than a separate zone, impossible to reach. I have already given this book and CD as a birthday present to my favorite friends. And, it's at the top of my Christmas giving list this year. I can't imagine a better gift to give to those that I care about.

WOW!!! Beyond meditation, therapy, or self help, this book leads the way into experiencing the very richness of living and helps me to realize the creative choices each moment has. The book and CD have a range of meditations that respond to the ordinary in everyday life in powerful, yet simple ways with beautiful, original accompanying music. Lorin and Camille are wonderful companions as I follow their inspiring voices on the CD. Listening, I feel a sense of passion, aliveness, tenderness and adventure as I foray into the personal, creative, parts of my self these meditations encourage. This is easy. It's like I've stumbled on to some key secrets into myself ...with a little bit of help. The book is a great refresher (i leave mine in the car)... poetic and direct. I highly recommend CD & book for anyone who wants to feeeeel gooooood!

I had a headache and was feeling edgy. Just in from the road and consumed by too much push and pull. I knew what to do. I headed straight to the button that says ON and jumped to Heartwarming, my favorite cut on Maurine and Roche's glowing new book/meditation disc. It took one beat and then I was instantly touched, the rawness softened and AHHHH. I was transported. Soaking in the pulse of music and voice I found instant entry into the joy of just safe and sound inside of me. Thank you! I don't know what I did without this brilliant piece of wisdom and delight.
