Before the author's bestseller SIMPLE ABUNDANCE, she wrote this charming little book of domestic advice. Presented by the fictitious Victorianna Sharp, it contains gentle practices compiled from an old trunk of Victorian era magazines she discovered. Though controversy will continue about who's responsible for the home, the program does a good job of not assuming it's the mom. Anyone, including stay-at-home or working dads, can take some initiative in setting up the traditions. This is a short program (only a small range of actual traditions is mentioned), so most of its energy is spent promoting the idea of someone initiating the rituals and routines she recommends. For discombobulated families everywhere, a worthwhile audio with some charming ideas. T.W. © AudioFile 2001, Portland, Maine--
