This Guide can be fun, it's colorful and may help younger players. But I don't think you really need it to enjoy the game. In fact, if you follow it too closely you'll be reading instead of playing. And you could really figure it out yourself. Kids and Adults alike will enjoy this fun game. Good gameplay, pretty good camera work. A fun graphics look. Not too difficult to be fun. And exellent mini-games (which don't usually mean that much to me). But the mini-games Tiki Mini-Golf and Penguin Shuffleboard are lot's of fun and can be enjoyed again & again. There are many fun lands to visit in this game. You can switch between characters for different tasks in different areas. I don't think you really need to know a lot about the movie to enjoy the game, but it couldn't hurt.
