From School Library Journal
Grade 4-8–Report writers will appreciate the approachable writing style, sidebar Fast Facts, and high-quality photos and illustrations in these titles. Both books discuss the mens lives before they stepped onto the world stage, and how events in them affected their work. All of their triumphs and failures, lost elections, and health crises are explored and organized in a logical manner. Haugen includes excerpts from Roosevelts and Churchills speeches and writings, shaping a clearer view of these leaders. The slim volumes belie a wealth of information and should prove more than sufficient for reports or for general readers.
