5.0 out of 5 stars A relaxing book to be enjoyed slowly., April 26, 2001
By "mr_bits" (Chicago, IL) - See all my reviews
The pictures were vibrant and inviting. The text was easy to read, yet not juvenile. I found this book to be quite refreshing. It really calms me nerves and takes the edge off a hard day. The pages of 365 Bottles are best enjoyed one or two per sitting.. Don't try and rush through it all in one day. Remember: Read Sensibly

4.0 out of 5 stars A Good Gift, February 8, 2000
By A Customer
A great gift idea for the beer lover. Each day describes a new beer, giving a picture of the label, some facts related to the beer and brewery, and a detailed description of the appearance, taste, flavors, and aromas that describe the beer. Interesting way to learn about beer and sure to be a hit with someone who cares about beer. Also a nice accompaniment to the book by the same author. The beers described are from all around the world and the U.S., so there will be things you don't usually see. This makes it interesting every day

5.0 out of 5 stars Great!, February 7, 2000
By A Customer
A fun calendar for your desk!

It can help someone learn how to describe beer just like wine-lovers describe wine. If you really want to learn to appreciate beer, this might be for you. Each day you read about a much-loved beer you have tried or read about something you would like to find some day. In other words, you can't lose with this desk calendar. Attractive pictures of labels, too, as well as information about each beer, or the brewery, or the style of beer. There are a lot of interesting beers and breweries out there, and this is a great way to learn about many of them. A lot easier than reading an entire book about beer! I have purchased this book as a gift for many of my family and friends, and I cannot recommend it highly enough for others to do the same.
