Editorial Reviews

Product Description
Enjoy a year of thirst-quenching quaffs, tirelessly researched and selected by Bob Klein, author of the bestselling Beer Lover’s Rating Guide. The robustly rich and malty Heavy Seas Peg Leg Imperial Stout. For something a little lighter, Buffalo Bill’s Orange Blossom—an effervescent treat perfect in the spring. Plus Moretti La Rossa (drink it with antipasto) and the hoppy, lightly spiced New Holland Mad Hatter. Includes great Beer Festivals, Label Lore, Lager Lingo, and Quaff Quotes: “Here’s to the heart that fills as the bottle empties.” (Anonymous)

About the Author
Author Bob Klein actually makes his living drinking, judging, and writing about beer. The encyclopedia "'Beer Lover's Rating Guide"' came about when Klein realized he had sampled so many different brews over the years, he couldn't remember which he had tried. He is also the author of 365 Bottles of Beer P.A.D. calendars.

4.0 out of 5 stars Helpful, but every beer gets a good review, May 10, 2007

Hey folks, if you want to learn about beer, from decent large breweries worldwide to small breweries in the U.S., this calendar is great. Filling 365 slots per year cannot be easy, so it tends to be the case that our author describes each beer as a wondrous drinking experience, even if the beer is not really all that delicious. Lots of regular references to mouthfeel, down the tongue ... yuck! Hey, this isn't dentist school! But overall, this is a lot of fun and one can learn much about critical reviews of his/her favorite beers, and discover many beers of worth brewed in the U.S. and abroad, not to mention fine brewpubs.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not that satisfied, January 15, 2007

Not all pages contain the sign/logo of the beer. Also, most of the beers included are mainly from the US and much less from the rest of the world. Furthermore, the pictures look not attractive (Graphics, black and white, etc.). Just somewhat curious for the history of the daily descriptions.
