Gr 1-6--These craft books beg to be picked up and used. Their jazzy covers and colorful borders house a variety of projects that will appeal to dinosaur and outer-space enthusiasts alike. Ranging from the very easy to the moderately difficult, the activities include model-making, games, and decorative items. While there is little science here, interesting facts are scattered throughout. Household items will satisfy most material needs. Dinosaurs contains a variety of ideas, from a Gliding Archaeopteryx to a Tyrannosaurus Rex Treasure Keeper. Outer Space features crafts on planets, spaceships, stars, rockets, astronauts, and space creatures. Well-written instructions and informative color illustrations ensure both fun and success. Sure to be a hit in all libraries.
