A Must-Have for any Pokemon fan..., February 11, 2001
This is the guide we've all been waiting for. All 250 (not Celebi, sadly) Pokemon are covered in this guide, in-depth and up close and personal. It's almost 200 pages of info on every aspect of Pokemon; capturing, trading; raising; breeding; all the various moves they learn through evolution, as well as the various TMs and HMs they can use; all the items they can carry and use, and more. There's an incredibly thorough explanation of the breeding process, as well as a lengthy guide to breeding specific Pokemon with specific moves. There is info on in-season Pokemon (where and when you can catch them); info on pre-evolved (baby) Pokemon, info on capturing some of the more special Pokemon; instructions for the various forms of evolution; and then a page by page list of each Pokemon complete with all its moves and information, comparing Gold and Silver with Red, Blue, and Yellow. The Pokemon are listed by number as well as A-Z, so you're sure to find the one you're looking for. And there's even a bonus section which covers the new Pokemon Pikachu 2 GS! All in all this guide is a must-have for anyone who plays this great game (yes, I know there are grownups out there who play it too, it's not just for kids.) If you're thinking of buying it, don't hesitate, go for it!

A Great Book For Pokemon Fans Of All Ages, July 2, 2001
I am a 13 year old and I am extremely hooked on pokemon, and this book is a great deal for all you parents who feel that it is too costly, because it IS worth it. I know that many of you reading this that have children are kind of lost when it comes to the world of pokemon, I know because my parents are, well, if you want to learn more about the "pocket monsters" then this strategy guide is a great idea! Here are some of the most rewarding things you wil find in "Pokemon Master Pokedex". I found that this book was very helpful in giving a well informed description on all 251 pokemon, excluding the mysterious Celebi. It was very well organized giving info on almost every aspect of pokemon you can imagine. I found this book to be helpful in many areas of gameplay that were difficult to me, and the breeding section helped me catch and raise many new and different pokemon. Unlike other strategy guides, this one gives an in-depth review and is one of the most detailed guides, in my opinion, ever written. Perhaps the best part of this is the battle chart, giving you info on what type of pokemon is dominant against another, giving info on every type, from grass, to fire, to electric, to steel, this book is the best!

A Great Book..., March 1, 2001
A Kid's Review
This is a really good book because it tells you how and where to catch all 250 Pokemon! It also says all the attacks each Pokemon acn learn! I liked it because it has pictures for all the Pokemon and it was really fun going through and looking at them. The breeding section came in really handy and I now have some Really good Pokemon on my game. This is one of the best books I've read and I would recomend it to anyone interested in Pokemon!
