5.0 out of 5 stars Rail Travel 2009, April 14, 2009
The book arrived on time. It features major key cities to visit in Europe by rail. Details as to arriving by air, train, money exchanges, baggage storage, and description of the train stations are included. Day excursions and sights/attractions are presented along with the stops you can visit when traveling by train. It explains the train passes and departure and arrival times and train numbers. Very good book. Not real heavy, but it has a lot of pages - 540. It includes; Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland,France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Norway Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland. I recommend it. It has good ideas as to what to visit, descriptions and itinerary ideas. Helps in your planning.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but not the content that I thought it was, July 8, 2009

(REAL NAME)
This book would be great for those who are planning a trip to Europe and doing a base city/day trip format for their travels. We back-pack throughout the continent, moving from city to city - which is not the idea behind this book. This book would serve those well who are planning on landing accomodations in one spot for several days and then doing various day trips from their hub. It is very well written and ideal for those with those kinds of plans. One thing though - it was a tad outdated for using a title with 2009 in it, as in 2009, the Eurail Global pass now includes 21 countries - rather than the former 18 countries - so some of the eastern countries are not included.
