Product Description
Book 32 in the bestselling House of Winslow series. Wealthy Rena Matthews feels called to take the gospel to the South Sea islanders. She gathers volunteers to go with her—all from the upper strata of society. When rough-looking Travis Winslow volunteers, Rena wants to refuse him, but her father insists she take him along. They set out in her father’s yacht, but a storm drives them hundreds of miles off course and into a reef on a deserted island. Will they ever make it to the mission field? Or will God bring the mission field to them?

About the Author
Gilbert Morris was a pastor before becoming an English professor and earning a Ph.D. at the University of Arkansas. Gilbert has been a consistent bestselling author in the Christian market for many years. He and his wife live in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent HOW book but there are better, March 1, 2006
By Julie C. Gilbert (NJ United States) - See all my reviews

The House of Winslow as a whole is absolutely riveting. This particular book is decent but not one of the best in the series.

Rena Matthews is a stuck up control freak for a good portion of the book, but then she comes around, eventually. Nothing like a good dose of "lost on a tropical island" to get one's head out of the clouds. The heavy characterization really shines through her.

Travis Winslow's a decent chap, but a bit of the goody two shoes. He starts good and ends good, so there's not much development with his character.

Plot: Shipwreck, survival, in fighting among the Christian missionaries, etc
