5.0 out of 5 stars Great Continuation!, January 26, 2009
By Brandi (Indiana) - See all my reviews
This book centers around Christmas Winslow, the son of Nathan and Julie Winslow, who was born at Valley Forge. He is a troubled soul who does not get along with his parents. He soon finds himself out west facing the Indians. Will he ever accept his future or forge a new one for himself?

This book does a focus on how the early Americans looked down on men for taking an Indian wife. Gilbert Morris tries to show the difficulties they face and the reactions they encounter in the `White' world. Also we learn about some of the early missionaries west to convert the Indians.

We also meet Melissa or Missy Greene, Dan Greene's daughter. You may remember him from the two previous books. Missy is the most outgoing of all his children and latches on to Christmas whenever he's around. What does the future hold for Missy?

This was an interesting continuation in the lives of the Winslow family. I don't think you'll be disappointed as he takes you somewhere you have never been before.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Holy Warrior, August 17, 2008
I have learned that when I start a book by Gilbert Morris I better not plan anything for the entire day. His stories are amazing and very hard to put down. This story is one of my favorites because it talks of a new and exciting era. I enjoyed reading about Christmas, Missy, White Dove, and Sky. I am looking forward to reading all the books in this series!

By Hannah Horine (Harleysville, PA United States) - See all my reviews
I think that Gilbert Morris is one of the best authors there is. He makes a very good series of Christian and Romance. If I could have my way I'd reccomend that EVERYONE read it.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book is awesome
I loved this book. It is a very descriptive book. I loved how it had to do with the outdoors but also had stuff about the Lord. I would reccomend this book to anyone.
