About the Author

Jennifer also coauthored the three previous editions of The Official America Online Tour Guide with Tom Lichty, her friend and mentor. In addition to her writing, Jennifer had the privilege of teaching America Online members and staff how to use AOL effectively and efficiently in her roles as a community leader and founder of an online training academy. Jennifer received her undergraduate degree in social psychology from the University of Michigan, a field that serves her well in understanding and explaining the new social climate on AOL and the Internet. Jennifer lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with her dog Kippi, an adorable Alaskan Malamute.; AOL Companion titles. Dave's early journalism training lead to a career in broadcasting and music production, and he's zigzagged from technical titles to writing, producing, and back again. After many years as a broadcast engineering supervisor and recording engineer, Dave found a new world of communications on America Online. Initially applying his background in computers, technical communications, and end-user education, he spent over a year and a half as a Tech Live Advisor, helping members use AOL's features and software. For three years, he held leadership positions as a course developer and instructor in Jennifer's training academy. He is now working full-time as a writer and editor in the worlds of print and online publishing.
