Product Description

Elvis, Bert, Buddha, and Busta are four pure and not-so-purebred pugs living on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. And even though they don’t have a backyard, or even a mailman to chase, they’re enjoying a dog’s life—because they know that no matter how small you are or how funny your face might be, life always has plenty of treats in store.

In this delightful book, Elvis and his coterie of pug friends offer a lesson in the art of PugTherapy—that is, the art of finding joy in life’s simple pleasures, from first kisses to bubble baths. Whether it’s a picnic in the park, a road trip with a friend, or a party dress that sets tails wagging, these everyday delights can chase away the blues and make you feel like Best in Show.

With over thirty winsome photographs accompanied by charming, inspirational text, PugTherapy gives you everything you need to reenter the puppy pageant of life—and find happiness, one pug at a time.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must for all Pug lovers!, September 26, 2006
This is the most adorable pug book I have seen so far, and I own them all! The dogs are adorable and the captions are terrific. This is a GIFT book, not a narrative book, so buy it for everyone you know who loves dogs as much as you do.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely adorable., October 22, 2006

Okay, I have to admit first off, that I am a cat person. However, when I browsed through this book in the new release section, I found myself saying "awwww" out loud only a few pages into it. These writers came up with a wonderfully creative idea for a book and the pictures are beautiful. Pugs must have amazing personalities. If I ever decide to get a dog, I've just made my decision as to which breed. I highly recommend this book, not just for pug lovers, but for animal lovers in general. It is guaranteed to make you smile, and as the title suggests, isn't it the goal of any kind of "therapy" to make you feel better? Well done!

5.0 out of 5 stars Pugtherapy, for puglovers or any fun loving peeps, December 4, 2006
By Sweetpea (Boston, MA) - See all my reviews
This book is a great small format coffee table book for pug lovers, and people not familiar to this breed alike! it is filled with sweet bits of advice on life, living, and just being pug. you can't help but smile when you see the beautiful black and white photos of these cute and quirky creatures. one pug even sports a cowboy hat and stands behind a police barricade! (no pugs were harmed in the shoot, i'm sure). but there are quite some daring shots of these fabulous doggies that no one should miss. it makes a great gift for puglovers, and anyone who loves dogs. enjoy this one and share it with friends. it's sure to bring laughs and smiles to anyone who reads it.
