Product Description
Along the eastern base of the Peruvian Andes is a great river named MANU, the life blood of one of the world's greatest secrets - the Manu Biosphere Reserve. This Eden is the richest Amazonian wilderness on earth. As mist rises off the great river, howler monkeys issue a wake up call it is morning in the rain forest. Hundreds of parrots form a brilliant kaleidoscope upon the clay licks they feast upon. Giant otters take their first swim in the cool waters while sloths get a slow start on their day underneath the mystical canopy. Come discover what that day will bring in this tropical paradise where 90 percent of the flora and fauna have yet to be identified. Come discover the mysteries of MANU.

Narrated by Edward James Olmos

5.0 out of 5 stars A true feel for Manu, August 17, 2000
By Jon Johanson (Somerville, Ma USA) - See all my reviews
This video allows the viewer to get a true feel for the rain forest region of Peru. While an actual visit to the Manu gives the traveler a sensory overload missing as much as one sees-this video highlights the natural beauty and diversity that makes this region so incredible. From flocks of macaws to the river otters the photography captures the essence of why this area is a true "Living Eden".

C'mon...what a bore. I couldn't make it throught he video. I bought it as something for my class, but ended up substituting a video about Bats: Creatures of the Night.

Borrow it from the library first. (Sorry National Geographic)
