5.0 out of 5 stars Start here first, May 7, 1999

Very easy to read. Marco takes you through Delphi from it's roots in Object Pascal. Marco's a very funny guy in person and it comes through in his code. Entertaining and educational. Has beginning material that you won't find in Mastering Delphi 4.

5.0 out of 5 stars ...it really depends which level you already have, October 17, 1998
By A Customer
if you are new to delphi but have experience on programming concepts I really can recommend this one. after reading this book you know the basics and are prepared buying a book specialiced on databases or internet programming or client server programming (whatever you are interested in) because this advanced topics are not really coverd in detail. for a beginner on delphi (NOT on programming) it is a good introduction to delphi .......says Major Tom

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Book for beginners. Ok as reference ..., August 8, 1998
By naresh@ucla.edu (California) - See all my reviews
I bought this book after trying to make do with 'Special Edition: Using Delphi 3'. I found the Pascal language coverage extensive. This book on the whole, is excellent for beginners. Its OK as reference. The Index is kind of inadequate but you can manage.
