This proceedings presents current thought and future directions in aircraft pavement analysis and design. Emphasis is placed on the importance of the many layers found in the pavement found in the pavement structure, including the base, surface, and lower layers which are shown to receive significant loads that have both long-term as well as short-term impacts on pavement life. Tridem landing gear is discussed, in addition to measurement of physical behaviours and effects on pavement structure.
