Review
As its clever title suggests, the book looks ahead with futuristic fervor to a radically new kind of teachers' union, one that would be more suited to our dawning "knowledge society" and to the most promising strategies for education reform.... All this makes for laudable vision, to be sure, but it is also an exceedingly naïve one in the absence of a plan for how to get from here to there. --
