This book is an excellent source for major gift giving and is a very practical guide for those who are major gift fundraisers. I recently passed the CFRE exam and this book was an excellent source of information. I would highly recommend this book for your library.

5.0 out of 5 stars Concise and useful, July 24, 2009
I learned much more than expected from this book. It would be helpful for people with a variety of experience levels in fundraising (I've worked with individual donors for 7 years). The areas most useful to me were prospect/donor management systems, leadership gifts, planned giving, and assessing the giving potential of individuals and corporations. The list of free websites for prospect research is very current. This book was helpful in assessing my own methods of strategically planning steps for cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
