Two of Winnie the Pooh's sidekicks take center stage in these four tales about friendship. Eeyore of the slow-mo, downcast voice gives heart to
Eeyi, Eeyi, Eeyore, which shows him nurturing a plant by singing to it and, amazingly, making what appeared to be a worthless seed grow. "Just had to let them know there was a friend up here," he drawls.
The New Eeyore drives home the point that you've just got to be you as the donkey impersonates Tigger in a misguided quest for popularity. Silliness reigns in
Honey for a Bunny, while
Rabbit Takes a Holiday gently pokes fun at Rabbit's neatnik, homebody nature. For good measure, sprinkled throughout is a generous dollop of Pooh-isms, such as "I believe I may have misremembered what Rabbit may have told me." Come again? That's the idea.
