Hauntingly romantic, the 28 recently discovered watercolors featured in Intimate Landscapes were created by a twentysomething Georgia O'Keeffe when she first moved to the American Southwest to teach art. This stunning volume, which measures only 7 1/2 by 7 1/2 inches, is essential for any O'Keeffe fan. The beautifully reproduced images convey the glory of the Southwest in vivid reds, purples, and golds, revealing the astonishing potency of the young artist's emerging vision.
